Amanda Steed, MSW, LCSW

Have you come to a point in your life where you feel lost and uncertain about how to move forward? It's common to experience situations, events, or relationships that can throw us off balance. When faced with these challenges, we must decide how to respond, but sometimes we lack the necessary tools to respond in a healthy way that promotes growth. This is where finding the right therapist can be a life-changing experience.

I believe that therapy is about building a trusting relationship that leads to healing and wholeness. As a therapist, I use a generalist eclectic approach, which means that I utilize various therapy modalities depending on what will be most effective for your situation. All of my work is trauma-informed and attachment focused, and I am EMDR certified and Level Two IFS trained. These modalities are effective in healing core wounds and creating new neuropathways in the brain, allowing you to resume a fulfilling life.

In addition, I am Enneagram informed, with over 100 hours of training. I can help you use the Enneagram as a tool to free yourself from your protective personality structure and bring compassion, curiosity, and understanding to yourself and others.

I hold an undergraduate degree in Sociology with a minor in English from Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX, and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. As your therapist, I see my role as someone who provides support, shares tools gained from my training, and ultimately encourages you to trust yourself. I would be honored to join you on your journey towards healing and growth.

Ready to book a free consultation, or still have questions for me? Feel free to shoot me a message and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours of the nearest business day.

I do not accept insurance and do not provide super bills. I am a non-pathologizing therapist, and I do not base treatment on diagnosis in all cases. Insurance requires a diagnosis code in order to bill. I am ethically opposed to these practices.
