Individual Therapy

Have you come to a point in your life where you feel lost and uncertain about how to move forward? It's common to experience situations, events, or relationships that can throw us off balance. When faced with these challenges, we must decide how to respond, but sometimes we lack the necessary tools to respond in a healthy way that promotes growth. This is where finding the right therapist can be a life-changing experience. If you haven’t already poked around my website, you can read more about my training and qualifications as a therapist here, or more about the type of therapy I do by clicking here.

The Process:

When working in individual therapy with me, we’ll start out with a free 30 minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. You can bring your questions you have about what my approach is, and I can hear a bit about what you’re hoping to accomplish in therapy. If we both decide we wanna move forward, we’ll book our initial intake appointment and get the ball rolling! If for some reason either of us feels it isn’t a good match, I’ll always provide references for therapists I trust that may be a better fit!

In our initial intake session, we’ll spend time completing an assessment called a biopsychosocial. This is a standard intake process for social workers, and it gives us a really good foundation to start with as we come up with a plan for how we’ll work together. This assessment is really just a conversation where I get curious about you and your life. Once we complete that assessment, we’ll talk about goals that you want to work toward. Your goals are always customized to you - since I don’t work with insurance companies I do not have to worry about your goals meeting any kind of standards, we can truly focus on why you came to therapy and the kind of results you’re hoping to achieve.

The Investment

You initial intake session will be 75 minutes and is $175. Sessions following an intake session are typically 50 minutes per session and $150 per session. Some individual choose to do longer sessions, and some choose to do the intensive model - pricing for extended or intensive sessions is available by request.

I do not accept insurance and do not provide super bills. I am a non-pathologizing therapist, and I do not base treatment on diagnosis in all cases. Insurance requires a diagnosis code in order to bill. I am ethically opposed to these practices.
